25 sogs – 25 days: Day 1: Redbone, We were all wounded at wounded knee

25-songs-blog-challenge4I decided to join this challenge. There are a few challenges going on at the WordPress community but most of them I can’t join because .. well… I am a lousy poet, my art is often just combining things I find but music… now that is something I can deal with so here is day 1, a song from my childhood.

When this song was a number 1 hit, I had just been adopted from the shelter and got into contact with the device called radio for the very first time. I remember I was amazed by this loud and bright contraption. My foster parents still had an old radio with tubes and big knobs

The very first song I heard on it i remember very well, I had no idea of it’s meaning, didn’t understand a word but it sounded great and I recall “singing it” in “sort of english) all day long. It made me hooked to music and I haven’t lived a day without music ever since
